Our Stingray Rising Stars program continues its summer road trip across Canada! We stopped in beautiful Halifax from July 10 to 15 to attend the TD Halifax Jazz Festival, a longstanding Stingray Music partner.

Stingray Music and the Winnipeg Folk Festival aim to nurture musicians in the community, showcase up-and-coming artists from across Canada, and provide career stepping stones. This year, 32 performers participated in the Stingray Young Performers Program and were mentored by festival performers Jeremy Fisher, Harrow Fair, Fortunate Ones, Jadea Kelly and The LYNNeS who provided invaluable insight into the music industry, songwriting, and performance experience.

June was a very exciting month for Stingray Business as we were chosen to be the official music providers for the 2018 G7 Summit in Charlevoix.

On a record-breakingly hot Canada Day, Stingray Music visited the nation’s capital again this year to attend the 2018 TD Ottawa Jazz Festival. We were welcomed with incredible music, yummy food, and the chance to provide 3 bursaries to deserving new talent.
