What is your earliest artistic memory?

At 13, teaching myself to play guitar and writing songs in my garage.

What does rap convey like no other music genre?

Rap can be interwoven with any genre of music. It’s a genre that is constantly evolving.

What is your best and/or funniest memory on stage?

At the end of The Fonda show, one of the guys opening for me ran on stage and took a high stage dive to crowd surf and no one caught him!

What is one thing that inspires you every single day?

There is no one thing. Some days I don't feel inspired at all.

What is your most favorite song of all time?

I don’t know if it’s my favorite song, but Paper Planes [by M.I.A.] is pretty much perfect. And Lost Ones by Jay Z.

What is your most favorite album of all time?

Take Off Your Pants and Jacket by Blink 182.

What song do you love performing the most on stage, and why?

La La Land is so fun to sing with a room full of people. Glamorama gets the women bopping.

If you didn’t become a musician, what would you be doing right now?

I would probably write books. I started one with a childhood friend about his real-life struggle with drug abuse: some of the darkest stories I’ve been told.

Which musician(s) would you like to collaborate with?

Gorillaz, Frank Ocean, Childish Gambino.

What is one thing that your fans don’t know about you (a fun fact)?

I used to perform in plays but realized I couldn't act.

What’s your motto that you live by?

Blueface baby.

What is the best advice that you have ever been given?

Success is when luck and preparation meet.

What’s coming up for you in the next weeks and months?

More new music and touring.
