From viral sensations to mysterious up-and-comers, 2018 has already produced an incredible crop of new artists that remind us why we listen to new music at all, and what it can do on emotional and social levels. Here are some of our favorites so far. They are the future.

Rejjie Snow

• 24-year-old Dubliner signed to the same label as major players Fetty Wap and Young Thug
• Dear Annie debut album released in Feb 2018
• One of rap’s rising stars, mingling with heavyweights such as Kendrick Lamar

Moon Taxi

• American indie-alternative rock band based in Nashville
• “Moon Taxi embodies the best of the jam band aesthetic: positive, bright, challenging and fun.” NPR
• Scored a major-label deal with RCA

Eden

• Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer from Dublin, Ireland
• debut LP vertigo was released on 19 January 2018 and EDEN will be embarking on his Vertigo world tour this March
• His melodic pop-EDM caught the attention of Lorde

Parson James

• 23-year-old singer-songwriter best known for his breakout Temple EP and Kygo collaboration “Stole The Show”
• New breakup ballad “Only You”  is the first single off his highly anticipated debut album
• Variety said: “Parson James’ music has reached some of the country’s biggest platforms in the past two years, from “American Idol” and “Grey’s Anatomy” to festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza, as a solo artist and through his mega-streamed collab with Norwegian DJ Kygo, “Stole The Show”.”
• Shares the same birthday as Prince

MILCK

• Los Angeles singer-songwriter MILCK is on a mission to change the world through music, and her highly-anticipated debut EP This Is Not The End is finally here to do just that
• At the Women's March on Washington in 2017, MILCK performed her single, “Quiet,” which encourages women to speak their truth and stand up for themselves. The song that would blossom into the March’s unofficial anthem
• Within days, the song went viral, and MILCK’s career transformed
